Adding New Clients to FahMon
- Right click in the clients list area, and select Add new client
- Enter the name for the new client, this is just a nickname used in the client list
- Browse for the client folder (the folder containing FAHlog.txt and unitinfo.txt etc.) or manually type in a path
Valid filepaths on Windows, are any local folders like D:\F@H\ or D:\Program Files\Folding@home\ and also UNC paths for network shares i.e. //machine1/client1/
On Linux, any folder in the local filesystem is valid, even if it is a mount from a remote location like a SAMBA or NFS share.
The http protocol is not supported for monitoring clients.
Drag and Drop
Starting with version 2.3.1 (or svn r38), you can use drag-and-drop to add new clients to FahMon.
Simply drag the correct folder(s) onto the client list, and enter client names into the dialog(s) that appear(s).
